Shoulda Named her Penthesilea

Look it up ;)

Today was Penelope's annual well-child visit and she is practically perfect in every way. She may have some seasonal allergies, so we're going to try children's Claratin and see if it helps. Other than that, she's healthy and on or above where she should be.

She impressed her Ped by writing her name without prompting and drawing a heart (it can be argued that she draws a better heart than most of my 9th grade students. Seriously). I credit both Mr. Pencil Saves Doodleberg & her daycare for giving her plenty of opportunity to practice drawing. She does have some natural talent (Bryan is, after all, an artist) and we do encourage her to draw and write at home. Luckily for us, she loves to practice drawing objects and practice spelling words.

She took her flu shot like a champ. Some crying, but it was over quickly and she was able to comfort her brother who also received the flu shot (amusing side note, the nurse initially brought in the 3+ year old vaccine for him, thinking he was over 3). Next year she gets 4!!!! shots. Not looking forward to that one.

She's 41.0 pound and 43.5 inches. Here's a link to a growth chart for Caucasian females.

Notice that the "average" height is around 40 inches. Penelope's height places her above the chart for her age, although that just means that she's taller than 95% of girls her age, not that she's a giantess.

She's always been tall (well, except at birth I guess, Griffin was our Stretch-Armstrong) and if this trend continues - and we have no reason to believe it won't, she's been in this percentile for a very long time - then she may end up being close to 6 feet tall. Hello volleyball!

In other Squish-erella related news, her Winter Dance Recital is in 2 weeks. It's pretty informal, but she's still really excited about it. I'm also looking into preschools for next year, although (and I know I've debated this before) if her day-care is doing a lot of preschool curriculum, then it doesn't make a ton of financial sense to put her into preschool. I'll keep looking into it, but we haven't decided exactly what we want to do.

I do know that I want to try and get her into a really wonderful Charter school in Monterey... the bilingual school in our area doesn't have full-day Kinder, and we really need her to be in full-day Kinder once she's old enough. This place does have full day, PLUS they have an amazing curriculum that is WAY ahead of the curve. I think she'd thrive there.

In holiday related news, the kids do have gift "wish lists". Please do not feel obligated to get the kids a gift this holiday season. However, if you choose to - I can guarantee that they would love and play with very single item on their list. If you prefer to get clothing, Griffin is in a 3T, Penelope is in a 6.

2 Year Check Ups

Big Bubby had his 2 year check up today. I couldn't go - last day of school (well, last day with students) and I had to give finals and get grades in. It was the first appointment I'd ever missed and I was a little sad I couldn't go, but I knew Bubby and Bryan would be fine without me.

Although this does mean that I don't have exact measurements. Bry and I don't have the same priorities ;) but we measured him the other day (I think I posted it?) and he's 36.75 inches and he's about 32 pounds. So 75% in both categories... we thought for awhile that he would catch up to Sis and they'd start to look more like twins (our midwives told us it would eventually happen) but she went through another growth spurt and is still 5 inches taller. I'm sure that he'll surpass her at some point, but it's not going to be anytime soon.

We have discovered that he has a strawberry sensitivity. I thought at first that he might be allergic, but both his Ped and my Guru Kathy who talks me down from the ledge every time I think something is wrong with the kids. Strawberries give him wicked diaper rash and he loves them. Kathy said he should eventually grow out of it, which is good because I don't know if I can keep them out of the house.

He was up for 2 shots and a lead test - apparently he took it all like a champ. He and Poe are very different in that arena (well, they're very different in most arenas). And I have to admit that I was a little nervous this time around... I really wanted to be there for his shots, but in retrospect I'm glad I wasn't. My rational brain and my irrational brain played a bit of tug-of-war leading up to this particular shot session.

I know that shots don't cause Autism. I KNOW this. They don't. But, from what I've read (which is, admittedly, not exhaustive) the jury is still out on whether or not shots - particularly the 2 year shots - may trigger Autism in those predisposed to Autism (i.e. with the right set of genes). Now, there isn't a huge history of Autism in either side of the family; so risks for G probably aren't high. But I was still a little nervous even though I realized it wasn't really rational. So I am relieved that everything went well and he hasn't had a fever or behavioral changes.

I was never so worried about stuff like this with P... And if I'm being honest, it's because P reminds me so much of Bryan and G reminds me so much of my brother. Now, there's nothing wrong with my brother. He's a great guy. He's a wonderful Uncle. But I think he'll be one of the first to admit that his ADHD has made life more challenging. My Dad would probably admit the same thing - he also has ADHD. And I love both my brother and my father, but I don't wish those challenges on my son. If Griffin (or Penelope) develop any type of disability, Bryan and I will be there to support and advocate for them... I just fervently hope that's not an issue that we have to deal with. Ever.

Anyway, we have one healthy, sweet, snuggly, stubborn, curly-haired little boy (or Big Boy, as he constantly reminds me).

In this, the children are the same - they both love salad

10 month stats

Griffin went in for his 9 month check-up a month late, but here are the stats.

Height: 31.75 inches
Weight: 23.4 lbs

At this age, he's taller than Poe (she was 32" at 1 year) and weighs less (by about 4 lbs). So he's tall and thin, just like his dad.

Everything else looks good. Although he's had these tremors a few times. Most of them are just like shivers when you're cold and last maybe a second, but last week as he was falling asleep he had an 'episode' that lasted almost a full minute. His eyes were closed, no fever, and he hasn't had one since. The Pediatrician wants us to keep an eye out, but she says that it probably isn't a seizure. We need to look for rolling eyes & fevers if it happens again. I hope it doesn't.

A nurse friend of mine said the tremors are pretty common since babies nervous systems are still developing. So I'm not really worried. He seems fine after each one and the night of the longer episode it didn't wake him up and he slept ok.

In other Griffin related news, he's chatting up a storm now. Constantly babbling. He's also getting braver & more steady when standing up without support. He loves to walk when you hold his hands and I'm sure that he'll be walking in a few months, if not sooner. Hopefully he gives us a few more months though :)

Oh! And we're still nursing! 10 months and counting. I never really expected us to make it this far and I'm really happy that we did. I wish we could eliminate formula, but we still have to supplement - and probably will for the remainder of his first year (+ a few months after I guess). But hey, every little bit helps.

In other news, I've lost 13lbs. Still a ways to go until I get back into pre-pregnancy shape, but it's a start!

The Ordeal

Today I had to take Penelope in for some blood work. WIC requires semi-annual testing for iron and lead. Poe had never gotten it before, so she was due, but I was dreading it... in fact I procrastinated until the day of our WIC appointment because I did.not want to go. We had to reschedule our appointment since the results won't be in until a bit later this week.

It was as awful as I feared.

I was going to detail the whole experience, but reliving it makes me cry. Poe has probably already forgotten about it. Suffice it to say, they had to do it twice since she knocked the first needle out of her arm and she got so upset that Griffin started crying.

As we walked out of the lab, the 100 people waiting (ok, maybe 35, the lab was standing room only) all gave her sympathetic smiles and told her what a good girl she was. All she could talk about for awhile afterward was her "bandaids" and "all done mama, all done".

I will probably be more traumatized in the long run than she is.

I feel for parents of kids who have long term health issues and need regular doctors appts/bloodwork/etc. I know it's hard for the kids, but it has got to be heart wrenching for the parents. You're doing what's in the best interest of your child and that involves causing them a fair amount of pain.

I mean, we just had routine iron and lead testing and I need a glass of wine and a good cry. I cannot even fathom how parents of sick kids handle the stress. Maybe you get used to it? I doubt it. But you probably develop a much more realistic outlook on the whole thing that I have - you have to.

Fortunately, I can afford to be melodramatic. Other parents cannot. I'm sending all those other parents a huge virtual hug. You are stronger than I.

Our Medical Drama

I will preface this by saying that hopefully last night's events prove to be the most dramatic and traumatic medical issues we have in this family. Because looking back on the events of last night, things could have been 1,000x worse. Looking objectively at this week, things could have been 1,000x worse; but when you're in the thick of it it's hard to be objective.

So. The story.

The kids have been sick since the 1st. Fevers (never over 101), runny noses, sneezing, watery eyes, etc. Tuesday they seemed to be doing better, Wednesday they were just a little sniffly (although at that point my Dad was sick) and so I figured we had seen the worst of it. Thursday everyone got worse. Bryan, the kids, even I wasn't feeling all that great Thursday evening.

Griffin got the worst of it though. He was so congested he was having trouble breathing, his right eye was constantly 'weepy', he was sneezing and coughing... but no fever. So we gave him a bit of baby Benedryl in the hopes it would clear up some of the mucous so he could sleep and he and I camped out on the couch so he could sleep on me in an inclined position. I hoped this would help him sleep since he hadn't gotten anything resembling decent sleep.

Neither one of us got much sleep. I couldn't fall asleep because Griffin needed to be patted/bounced to stay asleep and then he started having these weird breathing spells. He'd stop breathing for a few seconds (2-3 seconds max) then open his mouth, take in one big breath (which sounded like a frog croak), cough (which sounded like a seal bark), and cry (which sounded so pathetic). He'd have to pause during the crying to breathe, which means that he'd stop breathing, gasp, cough, and cry some more.

Broke my heart. And it freaked me the f*** out.

Bryan comes out in the living room to join us and I call the Blue Cross Advise Nurse. I generally love the AN line. I trust my nurses. I prefer nurses. But I now realize that the AN line has a serious case of CYA (cover your ass).

The nurse I spoke to was pleasant. She had a reassuring voice, she was calm. During the first part of our conversation she had me convinced that nothing was wrong. Until we started discussing G's breathing. She asked a few questions and the moment I said yes to one of them her voice changed. She was worried. Very worried. And then she said to me.

"Ma'am. You need to call 911. Would you like me to call them for you?"

If I was freaked out before I don't know what I would call my emotional state after that.

So we call 911 and a few minutes later, 6 Firemen are standing in our living room listening to G's chest.

Turns out, he's ok. Well, he sick. Really sick, but not Emergency Room sick.

The rest of the night was pretty suck-tastic. G slept on me in our bed for awhile, then slept next to me - that was when I was finally able to get a tiny bit of restless sleep.

I only taught one class period today and then went home to take care of my sick baby. We saw a doctor today and what he has is viral - meaning we keep and eye on him to make sure its not getting worse and just wait it out. If he's not better on Wednesday then they want to see him again. Croup was mentioned as a possible culprit, but he doesn't have a fever. It's not a sinus infection or ear infection.

Benadryl to clear up mucous, eye drops for his "weepy" eye, and humidifiers in every room in the house.

Add to this short naps (he's still not breathing well enough to nap for periods longer than 30 minutes) and now Penelope is having sinus problems. She woke up from a too-short nap crying... she has so much mucous that she is swallowing it (gross) and her breathing is now labored and a little on the erratic side (at least when she sleeps). Oh! And my fever is back! Hoo-flipping-ray.

In general, this week has been awful. I would like a do-over.

Griffin's first well-baby check

Today was Griffin's 1st well baby check. It was later than normal for a few reasons, all of which revolve around insurance. Long story, won't go into it. Suffice it to say he now has insurance and we took advantage and took him in to the Ped today.

He's 29.25 inches and 21.4 pounds. Here are his charts:

Length

Weight

He got 2 shots as well. Didn't bat an eye for the first and then screamed after the second (the pneumonia ones are apparently the worst). He did great overall though, such a trooper!

Penny @ 21 months

So Kaiser wanted Poe to come in at 21 months for her 2 year check-up. Weird, but whatever.

She's 37 inches and 31.8 pounds - so about the size of an average 3 year old. Here are her growth charts:

Weight:

Height:

She meets and exceeds all of her milestones. She's got about 150 words and puts them together in two word sentences. She goes up and down stairs and is right on track motor-skills wise. I credit gymnastics with bringing her back to where she needs to be.

She didn't enjoy her appointment at all and clung on B the whole time (I wasn't there and I really missed being able to make all her appointments). We don't have to go back for another year!

18 months and 6 weeks

So Monday Penelope had her 18 month appointment. She's 30lbs and 35", her head is 19.5" around - in the 97% on all counts. The Pediatrician evaluated her walking and posture and doesn't think physical therapy is necessary, the exercises we've been doing at home seem to be working quite well. Bryan and I have noticed a difference already so we'll continue to do what we're doing. She starts gymnastics next week and that should help as well.

Language and motor skills wise she's right on track. Her vocab gets larger every day - she has over 15 signs and half a dozen words that she uses regularly. She repeats more words, but doesn't use them all the time so those are harder to count and keep track of.

She's doing really well with Griffin - she really loves him. She enjoys showing him off and giving him kisses.

Speaking of G, his 6 week check up is tomorrow (with the midwives). We'll hopefully get the approval for Healthy Families this week or next so we can make an appointment for a Pediatrician and get him his first round of shots. No hurries though, shots aren't fun. He's getting so huge, I've had to pack away all his 0-3 month clothes and his 3 month jumpers are too small! Luckily his 3 month onesies still fit, but when it comes to footie pajamas he's in 6 month size.

We're still nursing - and still supplementing. He gets about 1/2 from the bottle and 1/2 from me. I stopped pumping and am still on the domperidone... we just ran out of donated breastmilk so we're on formula now. He seems to be gassier on formula, so we may have to experiment with different brands.

My decision to continue nursing is day by day at this point. Last week I passed the mark where I gave up nursing with Penelope - I'm happy to have made it to 6 weeks, but still very disappointed that we're having to supplement. Some days I love breastfeeding and other days I hate it. But I'm not quite ready to give it up... so we'll nurse until one of us is done. I'll probably be ready to stop long before he is, but who knows. Our situation is what it is, and no amount of wishing is going to make me produce enough milk to feed him on my own...

Our nursing struggle, plus all the aches and pains of pregnancy, the post-pregnancy body issues, and the lovely no-sleep newborn phase have made me very glad that this will be our last baby. Don't get me wrong, I love Griffin and am glad we have him - but I'm also glad that his baby stage is our last. We have two beautiful, healthy, and happy children - we're very lucky and very happy with the size of our family.

There's a lot more I wanted to talk about, but typing around a sleeping baby is difficult so I'll end here. I hope to be able to update semi-regularly now that Griffin is slightly less needy. Of course I'll be student teaching in the Fall so that will make opportunities to post even more scarce.

Appointment Update

Just a quick update - we had our 33 week appointment today. As predicted, it was rather uneventful. Next appointment is in 2 weeks.

Stats:
My BP: 98/60
Baby's HB: 160
Measuring at 33 weeks exactly

I apparently have a lot of amniotic fluid so they weren't 100% sure of baby's position. They're pretty sure he/she is head down, but it should be easier to tell next appointment. IF baby is breech we'll work on turning him/her, but I'm not worried. Since most of my kicks are up and to the right it feels as though baby is head down with its back facing my left side - a lot like Penelope was at this point in the pregnancy. Baby's head is still floating and not really anywhere close to my pelvis. This explains why I'm carrying so high and my plentiful amounts of amniotic fluid explain why I'm much further "out" than before.

Kaleem and Marlene mentioned that the baby was still small - which isn't abnormal - but I am hoping that this one is slightly smaller than Pen. She was 7.15 and I wouldn't mind delivering a baby in the mid-low 7lb range (instead of a 8lb or more baby). No matter what the size I know I can have a successful natural vaginal delivery, but if I had any control over it the smaller side of normal would be preferable :)

Soon I'll make up a spreadsheet so people can start placing bets on date/time and gender! We're getting close to the end!!!

She's how tall?!?!?!

Our prediction? 33 inches, 29lbs.

Ha. Hahahahahahaha. Boy did we ever underestimate our Amazon princess.

34.25 inches.
(28.8lbs)

Yeah, you read that right. 34.25 inches tall. A week shy of her 15 month birthday.

Holy Lasso Of Truth Batman!

Here's her charts, the first is height and the second is weight:
Penny height 15 months
Penny weight 15 months

Everyone said, "oh, she'll slow down" and "this growth pattern can't last"

Yeah. Uh huh.

I'm sure she WILL slow down. But I'm also willing to bet she'll hit 36" before her 2nd birthday. She'll probably hit it by 18 months... even with a slow down.

Of course, I could be wrong. She could hang at 34.25 inches for a few months. But I just really don't see that happening. Only time will tell! Bryan is convinced she'll be at least 6 feet by the time she's done growing.

It'll be interesting to see how baby #2 grows in comparison to his/her sister. If I end up as the short one in the family I'll be pissed. I'm 5'8" for goodness sake! Oh well, at least I'll always be taller than my mom :D

In unrelated, but super awesome news - I put Penny to sleep drowsy (but awake) in her crib after a 3 lullabies and she went to sleep on her own! She let out a halfhearted cry when I closed her door, but I haven't heard a peep from her since then. Score. It's probably because she napped for all of 30 minutes today (which sucked), but at least bedtime wasn't a hassle. Bryan is playing softball tonight so I was on my own - and I'm very thankful she made it easy for me. The Belly and I aren't really up for a long bedtime fight.

Tomorrow is another packed day (well, for me) I have a giant paper to write and Penny gets to spend the day with Grandpa. I'd rather hang out with her and my Dad, but homework calls. I'll be so happy when I'm done (and then I'll probably complain about how much I miss the world of academia - never satisfied am I).

Alright, time to work on some of this paper so tomorrow's task isn't so daunting.

Oh wait, I lied. Her new pediatrician! I really like her. She's due with her first child a week before "&"'s due date :) Penny seemed to like her, and didn't freak when it was time for the exam (like she did with our old pediatrician, although he was a man so that may have been why). I also brought her doctor's kit (which she loves to play with) so she had her toy stethoscope, thermometer, and other random doctor's toy. Her ped listened to her heart with the toy stethoscope and then used the real one, and that put Penny at ease. She also let Pen play with her light-thingy (yeah, I'm technical).

When the pediatrician switched the light to green, Penny said "verde"! Super score! We've been working on our colors (in Spanish) for a few weeks. P's gotten good at recognizing verde and rojo (green and red). So I was super proud of her.

The Ped is impressed with P's skills, especially her signs. Although she does want us to watch her verbalization since Pen was saying a half a dozen words and has stopped since she started walking (she still speaks, but her vocabulary is halved and it's mostly babbling). The Ped isn't super worried, but just wants to make sure she stays on track.

Pen is on schedule or above on everything else. We go in again at 18 months.

She also said we can flip her to forward facing if we want, but I'm not comfortable with that yet so we're waiting until Penny outgrows her rear facing carseat. In the seat we have now she can rear face until 35lbs OR 36 inches. So we'll have to flip her around in 1.75 inches - sooner than I would have liked. I really wanted to wait until she was 2, but we can't really afford to buy a new carseat and I don't want to exceed the manufacturer's specifications.

Ok, that's really all for now.

Today and tomorrow

Today Bryan and I were planning to take Penelope to the SF Zoo (my brother was going to join us as well), but the rain ruined our plans so we took her to the JellyBelly Factory instead.

For those who don't know, the JellyBelly Factory is about a hour away from Sac - the tours are free plus you get free samples. Sounds ideal, right? Yeah, not so much.

While good for babies and older kids - it's really not a great place for toddlers. Penelope was alternately bored and scared during the tour (watching the videos bored her and the loud packaging machines were a bit scary) and threw more tantrums than I've ever dealt with before. Luckily her tantrums are pretty mild in general, some people might not even classify them as tantrums - and she did ok when being held or when walking (it was the stopping to watch the silly videos that would start a tantrum), so Bryan and I did a lot of "pass the baby".

While it wasn't an awful experience, we've decided not to taker her or "&" to the factory again until they're old enough to really enjoy the tour... so probably around 4 or 5.

Add in the political campaign signs in the front entrance (for Meg Whitman - ick, makes me want to puke in a bucket) and I really could have done without the trip.

We did get some bellyflops, which are misshapen jellybellys - still delicious! And free samples, so it wasn't all bad. The zoo would have been much more fun. Oh well... we'll plan a trip for a weekday when it's not raining. Maybe in March before "&" arrives. There's nothing like waddling through a zoo to make me feel at home among the animals *lol*

I did get a couple of hilarious pictures of Penelope. This is the face she makes when you ask her to show you her teeth - priceless!

Show me your teeth!

Tomorrow is going to be another packed day. My brother has an appointment at ITT Tech to learn about the BA program in video game design, so P and I are going to go with him. She has her 15 month check up, and I'm going to get a MUCH needed haircut. Still not sure what I'm going to have Jim do with my hair, but it probably won't be too drastic. Or maybe it will :)

I'll probably post tomorrow night with Pen's stats from her appointment. Bryan and I both predict: 33 inches and 29lbs.

22 weeks

Today I'm 22 weeks pregnant and we had our monthly appointment. It was a pretty boring appointment, which is good :) My blood pressure is super low (like always), baby's heartbeat is around 144, and I'm measuring at 21 weeks (which isn't abnormal, I think this baby will be a tad smaller than Penelope).

Everything looks good! Next appointment is January 7th.

9 month visist

Penelope had her 9 month check up today! I always look forward to her appointments, mostly because I'm curious to see how much she's grown - and the people watching in our Peds office is pretty spectacular.

Here are her growth charts, she's about the size of an average 15-18 month old (25.1 lbs & 30.5 inches):

Photobucket

Penelope height chart 9 months

She's crawling, pulling herself up, cruising (with assistance), babbling, doing Jedi mind trick waves (which are *hilarious*), eating whatever mommy eats, recognizes a whole host of words, and doing more and more each day. I cannot wait for her to walk! Everyone says I'll regret saying that at some point, but I'll say it anyway - you try carrying a 25 pound baby around all day! Walk Penny, Walk!!

Interestingly enough, her Ped did not recommend the H1N1 vaccine for Penny - but insisted that I get it. He did want P to get the regular flu shot and wants all 3 of us to get the shot. We'll see, I need to do some more reading. I didn't get the flu shot last year when I was pregnant with Penelope, but I'm in a slightly more complicated situation this year... so we'll see.

More later (maybe). I don't seem to have much time for blogging these days!

Quick update

So we had Penelope's 6 month well baby check up today! No big surprise, she's over the 95% in height and weight. She's 29 inches (my guess was off by a half an inch) and 21 lbs 2 oz (my guess was off by 4 oz). So the average size of a 12 month old. Her growth has actually slowed, she only gained a half inch in the last month and a half, so I'm hoping this means we'll get some wear out of her 18 month sized clothing.

Everything else looked good. The Ped said her runny nose is leftover from the ear infection and should clear up in a couple of days. He also said he thinks she'll be walking by 10 months! So Bryan and I have about 4 more months of peace :)

She's still not rolling, but our Ped isn't worried. She's sitting unassisted (and has been for quite awhile), is standing with just a little assistance, and has got the crawling position down pat - some of these are 9 month markers (and others are 6 month) so he says that skipping rolling is just fine.

She's also been SUPER chatty lately. Adding in more consonants... "g" is currently her favorite, but she also makes the "b", "h" and occasionally "p" & "d" sounds as well. Still no "m" :( We're pretty sure "hi" will be her first word.

So that's pretty much all that's new in the Penelope front.

No more Gonzo!

Penelope is sleeping and while I should be doing homework I don't really feel like it... so I'll blog instead!

Anyway, a week ago we had Penny's 4 month check-up. I already posted her stats, but I didn't post the best part about the visit - a "new" doctor! No more Dr. Gonzo!!

It turns out that the Pediatrician we had been seeing was not Dr. Wolfrey after all. He wasn't a terrible doctor, but we just didn't click. We finally met Dr. Wolfrey and we like him MUCH better.

You know, in my head this post was going to be much longer.

So next topic...

And now I've forgotten what else I was going to say.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Stats now, update later

At 4 months, one week Penelope is 28.5 inches and 17.13 pounds.

Yes, you read that right.

Jolly Green Giant.

How much do we like our doctor?

This much:
Photobucket

Actually, she doesn't cry for her pediatrician and she cried for 15 seconds when she got her shots. She just doesn't like waiting for the doctor to come in.

Doctor's Appointment

So after today's doctor's appointment, Bryan turns to me and says "we're spoiled"... and we totally are. After 6 months or so of long visits with our midwives, today's 5 minute quickie with Penelope's pediatrician was a little unsatisfying.

The good news is that she's healthy! 12lbs, 12oz and they say she's 24 inches long (I'm convinced she's longer and they measured incorrectly - Bryan and my Mom think I'm nutty). Everything looks good and she's on track as far as motor development, blah blah blah.

She did get shots today. I know I've had a few posts about my various vaccination fears, and if we followed the CDC's schedule then today she would have gotten 5 shots.. Five?!?!?!! Um no. So we choose two, the HiB & Penemococcal. We'll go in next month for Polio & DTaP (although I'm a little nervous about DTaP). She probably won't get Rotovirus and we're delaying Hep B until she's a toddler. The Pediatrician was very open to delaying vaccinations - he bascially said we could do whatever we wanted. Hooray!

She was so good for her shots, she cried for maybe 30 seconds then ate about an ounce and promptly fell asleep! Bryan has had her for the rest of the day, so I don't know if she's still doing well - but I'm sure if she was having an adverse side effects he would have called me :)

So all in all it was a good visit. A little short, but the staff seemed nice. We'll see them again in 4 weeks!
